Dulcimer House we specialize in dulcimers, both Hammered and Mountain, and
everything associated with them. We carry the Spinet and "Bill Spence" Hammer Dulcimer models by David
Lindsey and Hammer Dulcimers from T.K. O'Brien. We stock Mountain Dulcimers by
McSpadden, T. K. O'Brien, and our own label, all wood beginner instrument. We
also carry Pik'N Sticks (in regular and banjo styles). We have an
extensive line of music books, both instructional and repertoire building. Many
of them can be purchased with a cassettes or CD to help familiarize you with the
songs. If we don't stock the particular book you are searching for, we will do
our best to locate it for you. Our tape and CD inventory contains a wide
assortment of recordings featuring Mountain Dulcimer Hammer Dulcimer or both. We
endeavor to keep a good selection of all of the old favorites and add new
recordings as they are released. Dulcimers are our specialty, but we also
carry rhythm and percussion instruments, such as bodhran drums, shaker eggs,
tambourines and bones. In the category of wind instruments, we
carry Hall crystal flutes, pennywhistles from Clarke, Guinness, and Mel Bay, and
recorders. We carry the GoodTime Banjo from Deering to help round out your band. We also have a wide variety of accessories. We have a wide
variety of chromatic tuners, most under $40.00, a large selection of dulcimer and guitar
straps, picks, including the three sided pick from Herdim. Several different
types of music stands made for Hammer Dulcimers and Mountain Dulcimers are
available, along with playing stands for both types of instruments. We carry
wood capos by Ron Ewing, and the 'Quick Trip' capo from Dudley Woodcrafts. We carry
single and double cases for Mountain Dulcimers, along with cases for Hammer
Dulcimers, Pik'n Sticks, mandolins, Autoharps and bodhran drums. We provide private instruction in
both Hammer and Mountain Dulcimer as well as an affordable 4 week course in
beginning Mountain Dulcimer offered throughout the year. Our mission is to
provide you with everything you might need to enjoy this wonderful world of
dulcimer and folk music at a fair and reasonable price.
